I find no specific information about the generators of Dayton. One page shows a photo of a 5 kW Dayton, which seems very similar to this new kind of Briggs & Stratton generators. I have a similar model, and very happy with it.

Check the engine type and manufacturer. Stay away from systems built in China. Honda makes great engines. Briggs & Stratton, also a good product. They have a good team and the network service for maintenance or repairs the future.
